Thank you for learning more about our tuition-free public charter school. We pride ourselves in being a school of high academic standards, successful scholars, a place of friendship, a place to develop yourself academically and personally, a place to feel safe while learning, and a place to thrive as you prepare for college.
At Heritage Academy, we focus on character development, and if you ask any of our alumni, they will agree that their time at Heritage was much more valuable to them than just the academic learning piece, and what they learned here continues to help them in their current advanced educations, in their families and their roles in the community where they reside. As our mission statement says, “Heritage Academy is committed to building strong character through strong families, strong communities and a strong nation. We instill in our youth a knowledge and respect for the ideals and values of the great men and women of history, including those who founded this great nation.” Each scholar feels the mission statement through their daily school experience.
Our faculty is made up of teachers unlike any other. They are not only highly qualified and well experienced with exceptional instruction, but most come from rich backgrounds, including work in the private and public sectors. This adds a more engaging expression of the subjects they teach and its application. They care deeply about the student body and focus daily on our scholars’ success.
Accredited through AdvancEd, Heritage Academy provides a college preparatory education. At the Maricopa campus, we are excited to offer dual-enrollment classes through Rio Salado and Central Arizona College.
Heritage has strict enforcement of campus rules, uniforms, and academic requirements. We love seeing the scholars exceed our expectations in all areas of campus life and see them thrive in a safe and respectful environment with fewer distractions. We also have an amazing fine arts program in drama, dance, band, orchestra, choir, and art. We strive for excellence in our sports and physical education programs as well and offer various options, including martial arts, yoga, swimming, golf, cross country, football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, and baseball.
