DOOR DECORATING CONTEST
Our Door Decorating Contest put on by Scholar Council and our NHS Chapter was a huge success! The theme was “Creepy Fairytales” and all scholars contributed ideas and decorations in their Citizenship classes, and then decorated the doors.
First Place – Mrs. Titus
Second Place – Mrs. Brems
Third Place – Ms. Turik
There were some fantastic entries! Please come see them all tonight at the Trail of Legends.
Thank you to all of our scholars and staff for participating in our Bucks for Boos this year. Lots of participation and fabulous costumes!
HAKUNA MATATA…WHAT A WONDERFUL PRODUCTION!
Our junior high drama production was absolutely top notch! A HUGE thank you to Mr. Ellsworth, Mr. Lawless, Ms. Titus, Mrs. O’Barr, Mrs. Titus, Mrs. Skousen, and Mr. Robinson. They really out-did themselves on the staging, costuming, and choreography. The scholars did a great job.

Heroes Athletics Fall Sports Update
Varsity Volleyball completed a 3 game sweep of BASIS Mesa in the Heroes Gym in the quarterfinal round of the CAA playoffs. The team was led by big kills from Brooklyn Martin and Catalina Springstroh. The 2nd ranked Heroes now head to the semifinal versus #3 ranked Phoenix College Prep on Saturday (10/20) at Moon Valley High School at 1:00p. The winner will advance to the CAA state final to be played on Tuesday (11/2) at ASU at 8:00p.
Varsity Football will be hosting a home playoff game on Friday at 7:00p at the Heroes Field. The opponent is still being determined by games this weekend. “We don’t care who lines up on the other side of the field,” said second-year coach, Daniel Ramirez, “Our guys will be ready to go!” Come cheer them to victory on Friday 11/5 at 7:00p. Parking costs $10
Our JH boys volleyball, softball, and wrestling teams have begun their seasons. Our JH wrestlers competed well in exhibition matches last week. JH softball started with a win over Leading Edge Maricopa and our boys volleyball #1 and #2 teams both got wins over Legacy Casa Grande and MASSA, respectively.
For updated scores and schedules, follow all the Heroes teams on azcaapreps.com.
Plan to leave home sooner in the morning to get your scholars to school on time. The closer you arrive to the start of school, the more traffic there will be. Scholars can be dropped off as early as 7:20. We do have a strict tardy policy and know that traffic can slow down starting at 7:40. Please plan accordingly.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
DON’T GET BLOCKED IN
SCHOLARS SHOULD NOT BE SIGNED OUT BETWEEN 2:30-3:40 PM
Need to schedule an appointment for your scholar during school hours? We ask that you try and schedule appointments on Fridays when the scholars are out of school. We know this isn’t always possible due to days and hours of operation, however due to our driveline, we are not able to sign scholars out after 2:30 pm. If you have an appointment for your scholar, we will need you to pick them up before 2:30 pm or wait until school is out to pick up your scholar.
REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR LUNCH!!
NO OUTSIDE FOOD IS ALLOWED
We have a large number of forgotten lunches that are being dropped off at campus. Please limit this as much as possible and remind your scholars before they leave the house, to grab their lunch. NO OUTSIDE FOOD (fast food or delivery) is allowed. The school does not provide a lunch if your scholar forgets.
All appointments including dentist, doctor, orthodontist, etc. should be scheduled on Fridays or after school. Fridays are the perfect day since we have it off and your scholar(s) will not miss class time.
PHOTO ID REQUIRED
TO SIGN-OUT YOUR SCHOLAR
If you need to sign-out your scholar, you will be required to show your ID and we will make a copy of it for our records.
-
If scholars are not feeling well, please keep them home. Please do a daily check before sending them to school.
-
Scholars who are sick (not with Covid) may return back to school when they have been symptom free for 24 hours.
-
If scholars test positive for Covid, they should quarantine for 10 days.
-
If scholars are exposed to Covid and remain symptom free, they may attend school. In the case of exposure from an immediate family member, we ask scholars to quarantine for 10 days.
DID YOU ORDER LUNCH?
HERE ARE A FEW REMINDERS:
- Communicate with your scholar if you ordered lunch for them so they know to pick it up.
- If a lunch is ordered and not picked up, it will be donated.
- If your scholar is absent, cancel the order or contact the school if you want it saved, otherwise it will be donated.
