Thank you to all Veterans and their families for the sacrifices made for our great country. These Heroes have been up all month so our scholars can continue to pause and appreciate each of these veterans. It’s been neat to hear some of the conversations as they realize how young some of them were, the different times they served, and friends with family members up there. Thank you for sending your photos, and a HUGE THANK YOU to Mrs. Kim Miller for putting all of this together.
Our Tree and Jar are really filling up! In this wonderful season of gratitude it’s awesome to see our scholars sharing, and donating to help those in need!
We are entering our last few weeks of the junior high Q2 season. Boys volleyball, wrestling, and softball are concluding great seasons. The regular season ends on December 2nd and playoffs will be the following week.
The Hero Basketball teams are kicking off their seasons soon. First home games for boys and girls varsity are on Friday December 3rd. Games start at 5:00p and 6:30p. There is an admission charge for admission to varsity sports, but your ‘Hero Hype’ shirt will get you in free. We will continue to sell those for $25 at the door.

Parents and scholars….. Do you have questions regarding College or high school planning?
Below is a list of topics that you may want to consider.
High school course selection
Early College Program – Dual enrollment, AP & CLEP
Earning an Associates Degree at Heritage Academy
ACT/SAT/PSAT (Which test and when?)
Financial Aid (Scholarships, Grants, Loans & FAFSA)
As we drop off and pick up scholars at school, we need to respect our neighbors. They have been reporting to law enforcement the speeding in the neighborhood, blocking driveways and blowing through stop signs. All traffic laws should be obeyed on and off campus.
Plan to leave home sooner in the morning to get your scholars to school on time. The closer you arrive to the start of school, the more traffic there will be. Scholars can be dropped off as early as 7:20. We do have a strict tardy policy and know that traffic can slow down starting at 7:40. Please plan accordingly.
REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR LUNCH!! NO OUTSIDE FOOD IS ALLOWED
We have a large number of forgotten lunches that are being dropped off at campus. Please limit this as much as possible and remind your scholars before they leave the house, to grab their lunch. NO OUTSIDE FOOD (fast food or delivery) is allowed. The school does not provide a lunch if your scholar forgets.
All appointments including dentist, doctor, orthodontist, etc. should be scheduled on Fridays or after school. Fridays are the perfect day since we have it off and your scholar(s) will not miss class time.
PHOTO ID REQUIRED
TO SIGN-OUT YOUR SCHOLAR
If you need to sign-out your scholar, you will be required to show your ID and we will make a copy of it for our records.
If scholars are not feeling well, please keep them home. Please do a daily check before sending them to school.
Scholars who are sick (not with Covid) may return back to school when they have been symptom free for 24 hours.
If scholars test positive for Covid, they should quarantine for 10 days.
If scholars are exposed to Covid and remain symptom free, they may attend school. In the case of exposure from an immediate family member, we ask scholars to quarantine for 10 days.
DID YOU ORDER LUNCH?
HERE ARE A FEW REMINDERS:
Communicate with your scholar if you ordered lunch for them so they know to pick it up.
If a lunch is ordered and not picked up, it will be donated.
If your scholar is absent, cancel the order or contact the school if you want it saved, otherwise it will be donated.
