Enrollment Deadline
We understand many parents are concerned about the 10-day deadline to complete registration. Please don’t worry, we understand that it can take time to receive the required documents from your child’s current school.
Important:
If you submit your application before all required documents are uploaded, it will slow down the enrollment process. I will need to return your application to “In Progress” so you can upload the missing documents. Please wait to mark your application as complete until all required documents have been uploaded. If you submitted your application before uploading all required documents, there’s no need to worry, I can re-open your application once I review and see there are missing documents. As I review applications, I will contact you directly if any documents are missing or need to be re-uploaded due to legibility issues.
Please be assured that every application will be carefully reviewed, and you will hear from me if anything further is needed. There is no need to send follow-up emails regarding document status, we will work through each application and make sure everything is in order.
Upload & Registration Tips
If you are having trouble uploading documents, I strongly recommend not completing registration on your phone. Most technical issues we see are from mobile registrations. Please use a computer or laptop if possible.
Required Documents Reminders
- Discipline Records:
- Yes, we need this document even if your scholar has zero discipline infractions.
- Attendance Records:
- Please upload the official attendance record from your child’s school. Attendance is typically listed on report cards.
- Do not upload multiple pages of classroom attendance printouts.
- Report Cards:
- We need an official report card, not a progress report.
- Standardized Test Scores:
- We have received many questions about standardized testing scores. These are state standardized tests, so the state will have those records. However, your child’s current school should also have a copy and can guide you on how to obtain those scores.
- Immunization Records:
- Records must be legible and include the scholar’s name at the top of the document.
- When the time comes, our school nurse will contact you if any vaccinations are missing (unless you have a valid exemption on file).
IEP/504 Documents: If you selected “Yes” indicating your scholar has an IEP or 504 Plan, please upload those documents. Even if your scholar needs to be re-evaluated, submitting the most recent documentation you have will give our SPED Department a helpful starting point.
When the time comes, I will be reaching out to families whose applications were returned to “In Progress.” Please do not worry, we will get through this process together. I simply ask that we work together with patience and understanding throughout this process (:
We want your scholars to be successfully enrolled and ready to roll on the first day of school!
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. I look forward to assisting you when I return (: Enjoy your weekend and have a wonderful evening.
In Partnership,
Melissa Wiehl Registrar HAC K5
