Our Mission Statement
Heritage Academy is dedicated to youth, their growth and development. The purpose of education is to build strong character. Strong character is reflected in strong families, strong communities and a strong nation.
While teaching the academic disciplines, Heritage Academy is dedicated to instilling into the minds and hearts of today’s youth a knowledge of and respect for the ideals and values of the great men and women of history, including those who founded the American nation.
As today’s rising generation gains an appreciation of these people of accomplishment, they will be ready to provide the selfless service to their fellow citizens and to their country which will be required in the coming years to assist in preserving America’s greatness. Heritage Academy exists to this end.

A special request from Heritage Maricopa parents:
WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are now collecting signatures to bring Heritage Academy Elementary school to Maricopa. This would be an amazing addition to our community and Heritage family. Before we can begin efforts to plan for an elementary campus, we need 1,000 signatures from families with elementary-aged children on our interest list. Please help us spread the word to your local neighbors, families, and friends. Sign the online interest form and share it on your social media platforms. The link to online interest form is HERE. DRIVELINE REMINDER!
PLEASE remember that 0ur driveline is being monitored closely this year. No one can park on the street outside of our campus before the driveline. Parents must park in our “cell phone lot” until our gates are open at 3:15. Our city and our neighbors need your cooperation.

Last week, Mrs. Sims’ 7th-grade science class learned about oceanic and continental crust using Rice Krispy treats, frosting, graham crackers, and chocolate chips. The scholars learned about the three different types of plate boundaries and the landforms that occur from each plate boundary. Mrs. Sims’ would like to thank all the parents that donated supplies.

In Mrs. Huff’s Digital Imaging class, each scholar chose a personal image to use and we created negatives using PhotoShop in the Adobe creative suite. These images were printed on transparent paper and then placed on light sensitive paper in a dark room environment. The images were exposed to the sun for 15 minutes to create a print of the image. This printmaking process is called “Cyanotypes”. We are studying the history of Photography and this technique teaches scholars about the printing and developing process of film and images that was created over a century ago. Photo credit goes to Sachia Cloran and Sophia Powell

In Mrs. Cordell’s Interior Design Class they practiced using context clues to help make a client profile, then used that information to create a home design well suited to their client. Their client this week is a groundhog! Scholars were very creative and did an excellent job tailoring their designs to the personality and needs of the groundhog in our book. Happy Groundhog Day!

SCHOLARS SHOULD NOT BE SIGNED OUT BETWEEN 2:30-3:30 PM
Need to schedule an appointment for your scholar during school hours? We ask that you try and schedule appointments on Fridays when the scholars are out of school. We know this isn’t always possible due to days and hours of operation, however due to our driveline, we are not able to sign scholars out after 2:30 pm. If you have an appointment for your scholar, we will need you to pick them up before 2:30 pm or wait until school is out to pick up your scholar.

***LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS****
If you have time and are willing to help we have lots of open slots for our home games coming up. We would greatly appreciate your help. Every service helps our Heroes be presented at their best.
