Our Mission Statement
Heritage Academy is dedicated to youth, their growth and development. The purpose of education is to build strong character. Strong character is reflected in strong families, strong communities and a strong nation.
While teaching the academic disciplines, Heritage Academy is dedicated to instilling into the minds and hearts of today’s youth a knowledge of and respect for the ideals and values of the great men and women of history, including those who founded the American nation.
As today’s rising generation gains an appreciation of these people of accomplishment, they will be ready to provide the selfless service to their fellow citizens and to their country which will be required in the coming years to assist in preserving America’s greatness. Heritage Academy exists to this end.

ATHLETIC UPDATE

Girls Soccer
Our Varsity Girls Soccer won the State Championship on Saturday night dominating EVAC 4-0. The Heroes had lost to EVAC twice this season by knew they were able to deny them from scoring. The defense was led by Jaylie Turcott, Chloe Adams, and Sanaa Dennis-Burch. It was a team defensive effort that kept the shut out. Madi Huffaker scored the first goal. A banger from 25 yards that was too much for the goalkeeper to handle. Salma Guzman scored the next two, decisively giving the Heroes a 3-0 lead going into half-time.
The Heroes withstood the EVAC attack in the second half and Grace McGrory scored with a header to put the game away. Izzy Gomez was awarded the player of the game for her relentless attack and service down the right wing. The Heroes are now, back-to-back, STATE CHAMPS!!
Softball
Congratulations to the Varsity Softball team for winning State on Monday. It was a great fought battle and went down to the very last pitch. When adversity presented it’s ugly head, you all displayed great composure and stepped up to meet the challenge. Thank you Coach Becca, Coach Klepfer, Coach Zappa, and all of the parent support.
JH Basketball
The JH boys basketball teams completed their seasons this week. We had three JH teams competing this year. While the first team missed the playoffs, they grew over the year and had many successes. Our send team and 6th grade team did very well and show the strength we have coming up through our Heroes basketball program.
Fall 2022-2023
Our Heroes sports programs are looking to add more banners to our wall. In the fall, our scholar-athletes will be working to continue our reputation of excellence in these high school sports: girls volleyball, boys and girls swim, 8-man tackle football, boys soccer, boys and girls cross country, and the addition of Varsity Girls Flag Football.
Coaches Wanted
We have two coaching vacancies for next year that we are trying to fill. Unfortunately, Coach Ramirez and Coach Rowan will not be returning to Heritage Academy for the 22-23 season. Coach Ramirez has led our football programs for the last three years, including two successful years as our varsity football coach. He has done a great job getting our program off the ground and done amazing things with the football players on campus. Coach Rowan was new to us last year when he took over our basketball program and our weight room. He led our team through a tumultuous year and earned a lot of respect from our players and parents. We wish both of these exemplary Heroes and their families success in their next endeavors.
The Heritage Administration is actively looking for top coaching candidates. If you know of anyone interested in these positions, please ask them to submit an application and to email Mr. Miller ASAP. (jeffrey.miller@heritageacademyaz.com)

We are in our last few weeks of the school year. Please try and limit appointments as much as possible during this important time of the school year.
THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL CALENDAR IS HERE!!!
