IS YOUR SCHOLAR RETURNING OR NOT RETURNING?
THAT IS THE QUESTION!
Please let us know if you will be RETURNING or NOT RETURNING for the 2022-2023 school year. We have a very large waitlist, so if you know you won’t be returning, another scholar would love the seat!
Click this link to complete the form: RETURNING or NOT RETURNING FORM
You will need to complete the process for each scholar. Please find the attached re-enrollment steps to help you through the process. Once the re-enrollment documents have been submitted, you will receive an email from SchoolMint stating that everything has been received.
There is no need to confirm that we received your submission. If anything is missing or we have an issue, we will notify you. WE WILL ONLY BE CONTACTING FAMILIES THAT ARE NOT RETURNING.

ATHLETIC UPDATE

The Heroes Varsity Baseball team capped off a perfect season, 15 – 0, with a state championship! The Heroes played EVAC for the championship on Thursday night and won 10-0. Mykah Espinueva pitched a complete game shutout. The team was anchored by 4 seniors, Espinueva, Andrew Hopper, Antony Gjika, & Gabe Zamora. Congrats to Coaches Carpenter and James and the Hero Baseball team!
Heroes Spring Season State Tournaments and Updates for the Fall Sports Season
We have 4 more varsity teams competing in the CAA State Tournament this weekend, Boys Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Girls Soccer, & Golf.
Varsity Boys Volleyball
Coach Daniels and the varsity team finished the regular season with a 10-4 record and in 4th place in DII. The team is loaded with seniors and is ready to make a push into the post-season. The Heroes played in the quarter-final Tuesday and won a tough game 3 sets to 2.
They will now play in the state semi-final tonight 5/6, at Dream City Christian. The state championship game will be held on Saturday at Thunderbird High School.
Softball
The Heroes softball team finished in the 2nd seed with a regular season record of 12-1. Coach Zappa’s team is young, with no seniors, but they have hot bats, great pitching, and a solid defense, outscoring their opponents 231-27.
They beat Heritage Mesa in the semi-final on Wednesday and are headed to a rematch with Imagine Surprise to avenge their only loss of the season, a pitchers duel that ended 4-3.
The championship game will be held on Monday (5/9) at 5:15p.
Girls Soccer
Girls soccer is trying to repeat as state champions. They finished the season 10-2 and as the 2nd seed. Their two losses came from EVAC, their opponent in last year’s state championship game. Coach Miller is anticipating another great state championship to bring home their second girl varsity soccer banner! They are headed to the chamionship game being held on Saturday at 7:15p at the ASU West Complex.
Golf
This is our first year competing in the state championship series for golf. We are sending 6 Hero Golfers to Prescott on Saturday to play in the state tournament. Coach Hunsaker is extremely happy with how these scholars have performed and the work they put in to be able to make the state tournament.
Fall 22-23
Our Heroes sports programs are looking to add more banners to our wall. In the fall, our scholar-athletes will be working to continue our reputation of excellence in these high school sports: girls volleyball, boys and girls swim, 8-man tackle football, boys soccer, boys and girls cross country, and the addition of Varsity Girls Flag Football.
Coaches Wanted
We have two coaching vacancies for next year that we are trying to fill. Unfortunately, Coach Ramirez and Coach Rowan will not be returning to Heritage Academy for the 22-23 season. Coach Ramirez has led our football programs for the last three years, including two successful years as our varsity football coach. He has done a great job getting our program off the ground and done amazing things with the football players on campus. Coach Rowan was new to us last year when he took over our basketball program and our weight room. He led our team through a tumultuous year and earned a lot of respect from our players and parents. We wish both of these exemplary Heroes and their families success in their next endeavors.
The Heritage Administration is actively looking for top coaching candidates. If you know of anyone interested in these positions, please ask them to submit an application and to email Mr. Miller ASAP. (jeffrey.miller@heritageacademyaz.com)
Mrs. Titus’ 8th Grade science classes are working on their STEAM projects. They are building roller coasters and portfolios based on the body system.
Mr. Hettinger’s World History classes learned about the space race using horses. Elliot represented the US and Becca represented the USSR.
Mrs. Daniels’ junior high volleyball class held a serving contest! Below are the winners! Congratulations Ladies!!
Ms. Turik’s Yearbook class has been super busy finalizing the memories from this year! Yearbooks have arrived and will be passed out starting next week. Sixth and eighth grade will get them from their history teachers, seventh grade from science, and high school from English.
We are in our last few weeks of the school year. Please try and limit appointments as much as possible during this important time of the school year.
